Follow God Here
Worship with The First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor
9 – 10 a.m. Change of Pace Service
Pilgrim Hall
This service (during our programming year – September through May) offers an informal environment where participants gather around round tables and enjoy freshly brewed coffee and continental breakfast while Terry Farmer leads us in music, Darcy or Lily offers a message, and worshipers engage in meaningful prayer and reflection.
9:30 – 9:45 a.m. Chapel Communion
Douglas Chapel
This brief service offers the weekly sacrament of Communion along with a hymn, a scripture passage, a brief meditation, and a prayer. The service is Rev. Eric Hausman, Rev. Lily Tinker Fortel, and sometimes Rev. Darcy Crain. You are welcome to continue on to the 10 a.m. worship service or depart after the service ends.
10 – 11 a.m. Traditional Worship Service
Sanctuary and Livestream
This service is typically held in our beautiful sanctuary and features our Wilhelm organ, unison prayers, hymns, a sermon, and music from our chancel choir or talented soloists. Children are invited forward for a special children’s message towards the beginning of the service and invited to church school afterward. This worship lasts approximately 1 hour. On three Sundays throughout the summer, we move our Summer Worship Service to Pilgrim Hall where we enjoy a Summer Contemporary Worship Service. You can join this service online via Facebook or Youtube. Visit our Online Worship page for more information.
11 a.m. Friendship Time
Pilgrim Hall
All are invited to join us in the upper floor fellowship area called Pilgrim Hall for coffee and assorted cookies. This time allows for visitors to meet others and for members new and old to connect with one another. All our cookies are nut-free in accordance with our peanut/tree nut free church policy.
