Scripture Reading: 

God Calls Abram

Then the Lord said to Abram, “Leave your country, your relatives and your father’s family. Go to the land I will show you. I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you.

I will make you famous. And you will be a blessing to others.

Reflection: 

Have you ever had to take a big risk to receive a great reward? Abram follows God’s directions even though it meant leaving his family home and all he previously knew. God was with Abram as he followed God’s directions and ventured to new places. 

Prayer: 

Dear God, thank you for the reminder that you are with us as when we take leaps of faith. Amen.
