Adult Programs and Activities

FCC members enjoy the AFC annual picnic at Gallup Park.
We welcome everyone to join with us for several opportunities for Christian education and study. Please call or email the church for more information. Check our Events page for dates and times. Among the opportunities:
Wednesday Morning Lectionary Breakfast: This breakfast discussion group meets each Wednesday at the Village Kitchen on Maple Rd. (in the Kmart/Maple Village shopping center) at 8:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please contact Bob Livingston at (734) 662-1679, ext. 554 for more information.
Tuesday Night Series: Sessions are held in the Maylower Room on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Please consider joining us to watch videos and for some very interesting discussions. Everyone is welcome.
Young Adult Group
This group meets bi-weekly on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30 p.m. during fall, winter and spring. Meetings include social time and a combination of activities including a monthly fellowhsip night, Bible studies, and possible book studies. New members are always welcome.

College Luncheon Group:
This group is for undergraduate students from FCC or those who are simply current students on a nearby campus. We meet once a month for lunch and discussion. After the 11:30 a.m. service we'll head over to Panera Bread on North University St. next to U-M's central campus. Worship attendance is not required. All college students are welcome -- please pass this on to any student you think may be interested!
Mind and Spirit Book Group: The Mind and Spirit Book Group is a community of women of all ages who enjoy reading and sharing our life stories as a means of personal and spiritual growth. The meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 10:15 a.m. in the Mayflower Room. All women are invited to participate in this group. Please visit Upcoming Events for the location. The current book we are reading is Some Assembly Required: A Journal of My Son's First Son, Anne Lamotte's latest book.
Activities and Fellowship Committee Personal Development Series: The AFC organizes monthly social events throughout the year. Go to Upcoming Events to see what is listed for the month. The committee has also begun offering interactive workshops facilitated by experienced professionals throughout the year.
Library: The First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor’s circulating library offers a variety of books with a religious theme, from theology to personal conduct and experience, to religious fiction and children's books. Our member, Dr. Helen Zylman, serves as librarian.
