We have many hands-on service activities and events offered throughout the year.
Our backpack drive is under way! Please stop by the church during the week or after worship to pick up a tag. You may also call or email the church office to request a tag. Backpacks are due back to church by August 21. These backpacks and their supplies help students in need within the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti areas. If you need ideas for supply lists, you may find them below.
Single Moms Ministry
Our single moms program offers monthly dinner, tutoring, and childcare. Volunteers are needed for cooking, clean-up crew, and childcare.
Our warming shelter takes place weekdays during the month of February, and requires food, cooks, servers, and cleaners.
Our rotating shelter takes place one week between November and December, and houses approximately 30 men overnight. Volunteers are needed for snacks and as overnight hosts.
Christmas Giving Tree
Our giving tree provides area kids in need with gifts. Volunteers return wrapped gifts to the church for distribution.
There are various needs that come up throughout the year based on devastations near and far. Our church responds through financial giving, through direct giving (buying supplies and distributing through local agencies), and through our annual intergenerational mission trips to areas where natural disasters and or special needs have occurred.
