Healing Space

November 12 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us on Sunday, November 12 from 7-8 p.m. in Pilgrim Hall when we feature music by pianist Kathe Johnson.  Gratitude will be the focus of the reflection and guided meditation.  There will also be a time for prayer. This service meets the 2nd Sunday of each month from 7-8 p.m. in Pilgrim Hall.  If you need additional information, please contact Gail Haynes or Liz Larrivee.  Input is welcome and all are welcome.

Senior High Fall Retreat

November 18 @ 10:00 am - November 19 @ 1:00 pm

Our high schoolers will take a reprieve from the speed of life for our fall retreat at Wilderness Ranch.  This fellowship opportunity will give students a chance to focus on OWL curriculum while bonding with each other.  We will discuss values, relationships, our bodies, and our lives.  Please fill out the waiver in order to participate in the high ropes course and retreat.

Parents’ Night Out

December 8 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Parents are encouraged to have a date night while their kids are taken care of at the church.  Kids can be dropped off or picked up any time between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.  This event is free of charge and includes dinner for the kids.  Please RSVP to rachel@fccannarbor.org by the end of Sunday, December 3rd.

Annual Bake Sale

December 10

The annual Christmas Bake Sale will take place on Sunday, December 10, in the Mayflower Lobby after the 9 and 10 a.m. worship services. Please come see what our bakers, canners, and gatherers have been preparing for your holiday tables. This is a fun and festive affair. Children’s Advent Workshop

Please join us for Advent fun for the whole family!  This year's children's Advent workshop will start in Pilgrim Hall after the 10 a.m. service.  There will be food, crafts, and outreach projects for the family to work on together.  Gingerbread houses will be made with parent and teacher assistance.  Parents are encouraged to come enjoy the event with their kids.  Nursery childcare will also be provided. Second Sunday Presentation

Mindfulness-Based Forgiveness Program On Sunday, December 10th, Mariko Foulk, a clinical social worker for 24 years at the University of Michigan Geriatric Center, will present a program she designed to accompany older adults in their forgiveness journey. In addition to the traditional use of discussion through which one gains insight, the mindfulness approach creates quiet space inside each participant’s psyche, where compassion and non-judgmental awareness may arise over time through meditation exercises. Healing Space
