170th Anniversary Celebration

Please join us for a very special anniversary celebration on Saturday evening, MARCH 25, 2017. March 23, 2017 marks the 170th anniversary of The First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor.  This year we will celebrate with a wonderful evening of music, food, recollections of our history, and best of all, our friendships with each other on Saturday evening, 6-8 p.m. Terry Farmer and the band will join Willis Patterson and Our Own Thing Chorale for an evening of special music. …

Palm Sunday Special Music Performance

We hope you'll join us on Palm Sunday (April 9) for our special music performance of Francis Poulenc's great music, Gloria.  The Gloria by Francis Poulenc, (FP 177) written between May and December 1959, sets the Roman Catholic Gloria in excelsis Deo text and is one of his most celebrated works.  The Gloria is scored for soprano solo, large orchestra, and chorus.  It was commissioned by the Koussevitsky Foundation in honor of Sergei Koussevitzky and his wife, the namesakes of…

Passover Seder Service

Passover Seder is a service traditionally held at home as part of the Passover celebration. It is observed on the first night of Passover, and in some homes on the second night as well. On both nights, the seder concludes with a dinner. Participants use a book called the Haggadah to lead the service. There is a role for everyone in the fight against hunger! More than 7,000 different people volunteer at Food Gatherers annually, accounting for fifty-five percent of all hours worked at Food Gatherers.
