Adult Programs and Activities

FCC celebrates the Jewish passover tradition with our annual Seder Meal.
We welcome everyone to join with us for several opportunities for Christian education and study. Please call or email the church for more information. Check our Events page for dates and times. Among the opportunities:
Wednesday Morning Lectionary Breakfast:
Our senior minister, Bob Livingston, has initiated a Wednesday morning lectionary breakfast series. This discussion group meets each Wednesday at the Village Kitchen on Maple Rd.
(in the Kmart/Maple Village shopping center) at 8:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please contact Bob at (734) 662-1679, ext. 1 for more information. These meetings are suspended for the 2010 summer months. They will resume on Wednesday, September 8.
2010 Adult Christian Education
Sessions are held in the Maylower Room on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. when parking at the church is not a problem. Everyone is welcome. Please consider joining us for some very interesting discussions. Our next session will begin in fall of 2010.
Mind and Spirit Book Group: The Mind and Spirit Book Group is a community of women of all ages who enjoy reading and sharing our life stories as a means of personal and spiritual growth. The meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 10:15 a.m. in the Mayflower Room. All women are invited to participate in this group. Please contact the church office for location. Meetings are suspended for the 2010 summer months. They will resume on Wednesday, September 15 when we will begin reading Einstein's God by Krista Tippett.
Activities and Fellowship Committee Personal Development Series: The AFC organizes monthly social events during the school year. Go to Upcoming Events to see what is listed for the month. The committee has also begun offering interactive workshops facilitated by experienced professionals throughout the year.
Library: The First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor’s circulating library offers a variety of books with a religious theme, from theology to personal conduct and experience, to religious fiction and children's books. Our member, Jan Hack, serves as librarian.
Glacier Hills Adult Discussion Group: This group will not be meeting for the time being. Please visit this page again for an update on the resumption of this group.
