Rev. Dr. Bob Livingston, Senior Minister
Bob has a love of preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and church leadership. He received his doctorate from Chicago Theological Seminary, and his masters of divinity from Western Theological Seminary. Raised in Grand Rapids, he and his family moved to Ann Arbor in 1997 when he began serving The First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor. Bob and his wife have three adult children and he enjoys family time, running, fishing, and anything active and outdoors.

Rev. Darcy Crain-Polly, Associate Minister
Darcy has a passion for youth and small group ministry, worship design, and community building. She received her masters of divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and moved to Ann Arbor with her wife in 2008 to join The First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor. She enjoys raising their twin boys, soccer, running, and spending time with friends.

Sarah Chaffee, Director of Christian Education
Sarah comes to Ann Arbor from Kansas.  She loves working with kids and getting to experience the energy and wonder they bring to life.  Sarah’s background is in elementary education and she has experience writing children’s ministry curriculum. Sarah and her husband Tom enjoy hiking and camping with their dog, Wilson.

Renee Bovee, Administrative Assistant
Renee joined our staff in 2016 with a strong legal background and a breadth of experience in public service. She is local to the Ann Arbor area where she raises her two children. She enjoys kayaking and being outdoors with her family and two dogs.

Nancy Sauve, Business Manager
Nancy has a bachelor of arts from the University of Michigan and has worked in bank management and various accounting positions. She manages the business of the church during the week and on Sunday mornings. Nancy enjoys spending time with family, Michigan winters, and music festivals.

Steffen Gelletly, Custodian
Steffen has been serving as the custodian for the past 13 years. He has a passion for live music and music production.

 

Nissen
Dr. James C. Nissen, Director of Music
Jim Nissen received his Doctorate from the University of Michigan in 1989. He studied in Paris, France on a Fulbright Scholarship in 1984-85. He joined the music staff at FCC in 1987, and became the Director of Music in 2005. He is currently the Chair of the Humanities Department at Schoolcraft College, is a Lecturer at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, and serves as the conductor of the Ann Arbor Concert Band.

Terry Farmer, Music Worship Leader
Terry provides music leadership for our contemporary worship service and serves as a musician during our traditional worship throughout the year. He earned his bachelor’s of music in classical guitar performance from the University of Denver and runs a Suzuki guitar teaching studio.

Timothy Huth, Organist
Timothy Huth grew up in Fostoria Ohio, beginning his musical career early on at St. Wendelin’s Catholic Church and schools. He received his bachelor’s degree in philosophy from St. Meinrad College Seminary and holds master’s and doctorate degrees in Organ Performance from the University of Michigan. Timothy maintains an active recital schedule and is currently Organist of the First Presbyterian Church of Dearborn. For the past four years Tim was Dean of the Ann Arbor Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. He is also a certified massage therapist, specializing in stress reduction, performance enhancement and recovery from injury. 
 

 

 
Betty Jahnke, Wedding Coordinator
Betty has been the primary wedding coordinator since 2006 and enjoys workings with couples and their families in planning their special day at our church. She is also the Administrative Assistant to the Principal at Saline High School. She and her husband are long-time members of FCC.
